Ryan Reynolds announces he is taking a ‘sabbatical’ from acting


Ryan Reynolds has confirmed he will be taking a hiatus from filmmaking after completing his last production.

The star took to Instagram to make the announcement, which coincided with the completion of her work on the musical Fiery alongside Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer.

“Singing, dancing and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made many dreams come true. And this is my second movie with the big @ octaviaspencer… ”he wrote.

“The perfect time for a little sabbatical from filmmaking. I will miss every second of working with this group of amazingly gifted creators and artists.

Reynolds still has several films in the works ahead of his hiatus. Next to Fiery, the actor will appear in the Netflix action film Red Notice opposite Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot, and Shawn Levy’s family time travel film The Adam project.

What Reynolds’ sabbatical will mean for the third installment of the dead Pool The franchise remains unknown, especially after the actor claimed production had a good chance of starting in 2022.

The duo took to social media to share the team’s first win of the season in August.
