Introductory program organized at JSS University of Science and Technology – Mysuru Today


Mysuru: A 2-week induction program was launched on December 20 at JSS Science and Technology University in Mysore for students who joined the university for the 2021-22 academic year. A series of general skills, the science of values, career guidance, Indian tradition and culture, the importance of the Kannada language, leadership development, ethics, stress management, etc. are the topics addressed by eminent speakers during the program.

The induction program was inaugurated by the dignitaries. Dr SB Kivade, Director and Dean (E&T) who delivered the welcome address, Prof. SA Dhanaraj, Registrar, JSS Science and Technology University, presented the history of the university and explained how the university has evolved in the past. over the years. He mentioned that 16 groups of engineers graduated and our alumni have spread all over the world. He made special mention of incubators and internships and urged students to engage in all activities. He also mentioned the recent international collaboration and programs that will make it easier for students to study and do internships abroad and emphasized the integrated master’s programs in collaboration with international universities.

In the presidential remark, Dr Suresh B, director of the JSS University of Science and Technology, mentioned that this introductory program will help students understand university life and also provide an overview of the courses offered and the opportunities available at university.

He mentioned the university’s six decades of legacy and asked students to make up their minds and move forward in planning their careers. . He also made a special mention to the eminent people who graduated from this institution and made an impact on the society, the students to explore and find out about the facilities and opportunities available in the university, namely the entrepreneurship park and specialized laboratories.

He wanted students to shape their careers in a meaningful way through teacher mentorship and advice from the university. (SIR).
