Bill Maher Suggests Maytag Make Arnold Schwarzenneger Their Mascot Because Of His “Dishwasher Load” Expertise

Bill Maher aired Arnold Schwarzenneger’s Dirty Laundry on Friday night like only Bill Maher can, calling on appliance company Maytag to replace its new repairman with The Terminator.

You see, Maytag recently changed its mascot with a stiff, young, straight-jawed repairman. Some, like Maher, might say he looks like an android.

As Maher illustrated on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday, the new mascot is a departure from their long tradition of a pasty, middle-aged repairman.

“Someone has to tell me what’s going on with the new Maytag repairman. Is he human? Is it an android from the future? Did he travel back in time and kill the former Maytag repairman? Maher posed in his “New Rules” segment before entering the strike line.

“If that’s the direction they’re going, they should hire Arnold Schwarzenegger as a Maytag repairman,” Maher said.

“Arnold lived the role.

“We all remember the time he put a load in the dishwasher.”

It’s been nearly 11 years since Schwarzenneger, now 74, revealed he fathered a child a decade earlier with his beloved housekeeper. The confession led to his eventual divorce from his longtime wife and mother of his other four children, Maria Shriver.
